Hello Parents, Teachers and Children!
Thank you for looking me up!
Here's what I do.....
I am a a peripatetic qualified and experienced Speech and Drama teacher, based in Herefordshire.
I have taught at a large outstanding Primary Academy for the past 8 years. I work with pupils on specific poetry projects such as poetry performance and the composition of poetry as well as preparation for local Competitive Arts Festivals.
I am able to work with all Year groups, from Reception to Secondary school pupils, including Sixth Form. I am qualified to teach Presentation skills and Interview skills.
I also have teaching experience with pupils for whom English is an additional language, pupils with Special Needs and pupils of all Key Stages.
I also teach adults and children privately from home.
Adults aged 19-95, it is never too late to learn to express that favourite poem, to present a speech at a wedding, eulogy at a funeral/memorial service.
If you are an adult wishing to learn a new skill, take a speech and drama examination, need to get that job, or wish to improve your communication skills...get in touch!
I am kind, patient and reassuring and will do everything I can to get you to where you want to be.
I am a published children's poet, with poetry included in anthologies published with Bloomsbury, Hodder Wayland, A&C Black, and Otter-Barry Books. My debut collection of poetry for children aged 7-11 is publishing with the prestigious children's publisher Otter-Barry Books in March 2022. Look out for 'Where Do Wishes Go?' in Waterstones, and independent book shops!
My poems are performed at Festivals across the UK and overseas and are included in the new LAMDA syllabus.
I am passionate about bringing the art of poetry writing and performance into schools, inspiring children everywhere to become poets and to perform poetry with expression, emphasis and meaning.
